El Torneo de Zurich-1953, fue el segundo Torneo de Candidatos organizado
por la FIDE luego de la muerte de Alekhine, para encontrar al retador que se
enfrentaría a Mijail Botvinnik, Campeón Mundial, por ese entonces.
Bronstein dice: “Mi intención fue,
igualmente, contribuir a que el ajedrecista que leyese el presente libro
pudiera elevar el nivel de juego ajedrecístico”
Miguel Najdorf opina: “Por sobre
todas las cosas he procurado ofrecer al lector ideas y conceptos. Mis 30 años de oficio en este arte increíble
de mover los trebejos, me han dado la necesaria experiencia para saber donde
residen los defectos de formación de las juventudes ajedrecísticas”
The Tournament of Zurich-1953, was the
second Candidates Tournament organized by FIDE after the death of Alekhine, to
find the challenger who would face Mikhail Botvinnik, World Champion by then.
Bronstein says: "My intention
